Ibutamoren, also known as MK-677, is a non-steroidal, orally active agonist of the ghrelin receptor and a stimulator of growth hormone secretion (GHSR – Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor). It was developed during research on the regulatory mechanisms of the hypothalamic–pituitary axis in preclinical settings, and its use is limited solely to scientific and analytical purposes.
MK-677 is not approved for medical use.
